Democratic Socialism |
Controlling the means of production. It can be done either cooperatively or coercively. In the case of GM a little more coercion was required, in the case of GE a little cooperation (and a political appointment) was all that was necessary. Ultimately the end result is the same. Increasing nationalization and control of the private sector by government. When one considers the actions of the Obama administration in this regard a certain historic precedence is recalled. Consider this quote on the issue from the Library of Economics and Liberty website:
Where socialism sought totalitarian control of a society’s economic processes through direct state operation of the means of production, fascism sought that control indirectly, through domination of nominally private owners. Where socialism nationalized property explicitly, fascism did so implicitly, by requiring owners to use their property in the “national interest”—that is, as the autocratic authority conceived it. (Nevertheless, a few industries were operated by the state.) Where socialism abolished all market relations outright, fascism left the appearance of market relations while planning all economic activities. Where socialism abolished money and prices, fascism controlled the monetary system and set all prices and wages politically. Thus, we find ourselves here:
Barack Hussein Obama is a direct threat to our republic and is the exact type of criminal usurper our constitution was design to protect against. It is far past time our elected leaders in the House and Senate address the issue and remove the threat.
